Boyton’s Feathertop
Boynton’s is located just before the township of Porepunkah, with the famous old railway line turned bike path running straight past the winery. It was only a 10-minute bike ride from the fire at our campsite to the delights of Boynton’s. This is a great stop to quench your thirst with some of their lovely wines or a light or full strength beer that are made in Mildura on behalf of the winery, both were very tasty.
If you need to re-fuel then a bite to eat at their café is a great option. For something more casual a DIY food platter of local produce, a picnic rug (provided) and a spot on the lawn is just as good. The staff were friendly with a good sense of humour and had great knowledge on the wines.
This was all wonderful, but the ants pants for me was the ability that it transported me to another land. If it was not for the sounds of the nearby Kookaburra I could have sworn I was sitting under a Tuscan sun. The silver birch trees shaded the rustic grassy lawn that sat high above the vineyard with the most amazing view of the rugged mountain range in the distance. We imagined them being the Italian Alps. Bellissimo!

Great place to stop in between towns for refreshment. Really good set up. Too hot on the day we were there but picnic rugs and outside area would get some use I would think. Staff were fantastic.
