Daylesford Cider Company

The cute red brick barn/tavern with lovely gardens is the home to this organic cidery. They make four ciders with three of them having no spritz or bubbles, which is unusual in today’s world and a shock to begin with when the palate is expecting one thing and gets something else. After the initial surprise you begin to appreciate the qualities in the Dry, Medium and Sweet ciders as well as the Sparkling cider, which for me was a clear winner. Up to 15 different varieties are used to give the right balance of sharpness, acidity and sweetness amongst other qualities to each different cider.
The Daylesford Cider Company is only minutes away from the town and is worth a visit if you have got some time up your sleeve.
