Meehan

A little cellar door that has a small selection of wines but the wines we tasted were fantastic and the winemaker was there to take us through his range. This passionate winemaker gave us a tour of his operations and an insight into his winemaking.
Phil took out the bunt of a newly purchased and never been used French oak barrel so we could smell the characteristics that the barrel would impart on the wine. We learnt so much from our visit here and tried some great wine. Don’t be put off by the small operation, as you will gain so much from a visit to Meehan. Don’t be afraid to ask some questions and your gracious host and winemaker will reward you with his knowledge. Meehan are also looking to expand the cellar door and we look forward to visit again when all is completed.
